San Antonio Missions Baseball Math and Weather Days Each year we have a couple of day games to use as education days for students of San Antonio.  We typically have up to 50 different schools represented at each game.  This year our day games will be a Math Day on May 3rd and a Weather Day on May 5th.  The games are at 11:05 and are usually over around 2:00.  We have tickets for $5.50 in the outfield reserved and $6.50 in the upper reserved, and kids are allowed to bring in sack lunches on these days.  In addition to the baseball game, their will be educational programs and games throughout the day to help stimulate learning.

Homeschool Volleyball League The Lou Hamilton Community Center is hosting a Volleyball League for homeschooled kids, ages 9-13. We'll meet every Thursday, beginning Jan. 7th, from 12-1:30pm. It's open to both boys and girls, no experience needed. The first couple of weeks will be devoted to skills and drills, and they will begin playing games the following week.

''Civilization is the encouragement of differences. Civilization thus becomes a synonym of democracy. Force, violence, pressure, or compulsion with a view to conformity, is both uncivilized and undemocratic.''
